Your Business and Website in 2019

As 2018 is coming to a close it’s always important to start thinking about the new year. As with most business owners, we find ourselves reflecting about the past year of business during this time and things we may have done differently, our successes and our failures.

It’s important to thing about the future as well. Make 2019 the year your business grows online by reviewing these items:

  1. How is your website?

How is your website doing? Is it meeting all your needs? We routinely come across companies who have a dormant website that hasn’t actively worked for them in the past decade, and I don’t mean physically work, I mean bringing you leads, new clients and showcasing your work. Is your website meeting a goal? Do you have a goal for your website?

  1. How is your search engine results?

How are you ranking in Google? Have you checked for various locations? Optimizatiing a website for search results changes monthly and if you don’t actively have someone updating your website it may be time to give it another look.

Reflecting back on the past year, I can’t tell you how many clients we have come across that don’t realize the potential in good search results. The difference between the 1st place in google and the 3rd place can be a massive 70% increase in leads. The difference between the 1st page and 2nd is a 90% increase. Can you imagine having that large of an increase in clients or business? What would you do with that business growth?

Did You Know?

We offer free website audits! If you think your website could use some love let us know. We can meetup, provide a detailed plan at no charge. We want your business to succeed and can help you achieve your goals!

  1. How does your website look in a mobile device?

Do you avoid giving your website address out to potential clients? Don’t worry, it’s a common feeling. If you are not proud of how your website displays you can change it without breaking the bank.

Mobile devices are now the majority of internet traffic and your website needs to meet the demand. Have you checked your website on a mobile device and tablet? Sometimes making it mobile friendly does not involve a new website.

  1. Where is your money going?

This last point is the most important. The end of a year is a great time to review your past and upcoming budgets. Do you have budgets set aside for social media, or physical print? Are you getting enough out of it?

We have had great success with taking existing budgets and applying them to SEO (search engine optimization). We had a client in 2018 that was spending money in all the wrong places. Hills Moving was suffering from an outdated website that did not engage his customers or bring him the leads he wanted. We transformed his online presence and his engagement has significantly increased.

Recently, Hills Moving broke a record for the most amount of clients booked in one today through the website, beating the previous record by over 100%.
