Project Overview Leslie Ann Counselling, a comprehensive therapy practice in Durham Region, required a digital presence that reflected their passion for “helping people live a better life.” Unlike niche practices, they serve a broad spectrum of clients—from children (6+) to adults, and families. The goal was to create an inclusive, safe digital environment that organizes a complex array of services and modalities into a clear, comforting user journey, removing the intimidation often associated with seeking help.
Key Deliverables & Features
- Comprehensive Service Architecture:
- Demographic Segmentation: We structured the content to clearly address distinct user groups. By categorizing populations (Children, Teens, Adults, Families), parents can quickly find support for their kids without wading through adult-focused content, and vice versa.
- Modality Education: The practice offers specialized treatments like “Brainspotting” and “EFIT.” We created a “Types of Therapies” layout that lists these clearly, helping demystify clinical terms and reassuring clients that the practice has the specific tools to help them.
- Warm & Welcoming Design:
- Approachable Aesthetic: The design moves away from cold, clinical visuals. Instead, it uses warm tones and inviting typography to reinforce the message of a “safe space.”
- Empathetic Messaging: The copy focuses on “celebrating successes” and “moving forward,” shifting the narrative from fixing what’s broken to building the life you’ve dreamed of, which encourages hesitation users to take the first step.
- Frictionless Booking Pathways:
- Clear Call-to-Action (CTA): Recognizing that the decision to book therapy is often fragile, the “Book Now” and “Free Consult” buttons are prominently placed and persistent.
- Hybrid Delivery Options: The site clearly highlights both “Virtual” and “In-Person” options (at the Albert Street location), catering to clients’ need for flexibility and comfort in how they receive care.
- Resource & Support Hub:
- Guidance for New Clients: A dedicated “FAQ” and “Benefits of Working with Leslie” section answers common anxieties upfront (e.g., “What happens in the first session?”), reducing the barrier to entry for first-time therapy goers.
The Outcome The new Leslie Ann Counselling website establishes the practice as a pillar of support in the Oshawa community. It successfully organizes a wide range of clinical expertise into an approachable, human-centered experience that makes asking for help feel safe and simple.
